In the mood: Glenn Miller celebration opening in London: Centre Stalls tickets with Three-Course Champagne Dinner at the Savoy

Glenn Miller, the great American big-band trombonist, arranger, composer and bandleader in the swing era of the 1940s, was the best selling recording artist in the world, leading one of the best loved bands—and now a new musical celebration, The Glenn Miller Show, is opening in London this July. The audience will swing too, to the authentic sounds of those hits, from In The Mood to Moonlight Serenade and Chattanooga Choo Choo. Leading the celebration will be Tommy Steele, paying tribute to his hero: 'That sound, that wonderful sound, and Glenn Miller's search for it, is one of the most inspiring stories I know.'

The Glenn Miller Show features the musical journey the legendary big band leader took to find his unique sound, and his subsequent fame—and the mystery of his death. But this show is all about celebrating his music and life—a full big band will play the authentic sounds of Miller's all-time classics: Pennsylvania 6-5000, In the Mood, Moonlight Serenade, Little Brown Jug, Tuxedo Junction, Chattanooga Choo Choo and many more era-defining hits. This will be an inspirational night for lovers of the Big Band sound—including a new generation of Glenn Miller admirers, since this is music that continues to swing—and to make sure our Members can enjoy this show to the full we have pre booked tickets for the evening performance on Tuesday, July 10.

Tommy Steele needs no introduction—now aged 81, it will be 60 years since he made his stage debut at the London Coliseum in Rodgers and Hammerstein's Cinderella: 'I'm returning to the Coliseum to say two big thank yous,' he says now. The show is produced by Bill Kenwright—famous for Joseph and His Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Blood Brothers, Fame and many more—with choreography by Olivier Award Winner Bill Deamer and direction by Bob Tomson and Bill Kenwright.

Before the show we shall dine in the Art Deco setting of The Savoy, itself a Swing Era icon, enjoying a Pre-Theatre Champagne Dinner of three courses, with a glass of chilled Champagne to set the mood, before moving on to take our seats in the centre of the Stalls at the Coliseum, just a few minutes away. Only a limited number of our pre-booked seats are available—so please don't delay.

Tickets for the full evening on Tuesday, July 10, including centre Orchestra Stalls ticket for the show, three-course Champagne Dinner at The Savoy, VAT and service charge, are £87 for our Members (instead of the full value of £136).

Our tables are booked from 5pm at The Savoy and the performance starts at 7.30pm.
