The Portico bracelet opens the VIA Collection. Ten strands of finely woven Italian sterling-silver mesh, finished in warm gold and set with polished rhodium spheres. It looks generous. It is not heavy.
The Portico is light and fluid on the wrist, and it has presence without being a cuff. Mixed metal is the point this season: gold against silver, a woven texture against a polished sphere, a piece that moves when the wrist does.
The strands catch the light. The spheres give it a rhythm. Worn alone it is enough. Among other chains it becomes the layer.
It comes in a jewellery box, so it is a gift as easily as a purchase. As happy with a silk dress as with cashmere, or with a white shirt.

Portico is a mesh bracelet, which is a stylish difference from a chain. The strands are sterling silver, woven fine, then finished in warm gold, so the colour is gold and the structure is silver. The spheres are rhodium, cooler than the mesh, and they are what the eye finds first. Ten strands is enough to focus all eyes and not so many that the wrist disappears.
It is Italian, and it is the first piece of VIA, a collection chosen for design and for being wearable and beautiful.
The bracelet flexes, so it sits, and it does not need to be the only thing on the arm. A silk cuff, a cashmere sleeve, a white shirt: all of them take it.
