A classic blend of Pinot Noir, Meunier and Chardonnay. Perfect food pairings: turbot with beurre blanc, sea scallops with creamy Parmesan risotto, roast poultry, smoked salmon and oysters. Indeed, one of the great pleasures of Essentiel is its versatility at the table, making it a particularly enticing Champagne for Christmas entertaining.
Piper-Heidsieck traces its history back to the original Heidsieck & Co., founded in 1785 and subsequently divided into three celebrated Champagne Houses: Piper-Heidsieck, Charles Heidsieck and Heidsieck Monopole. In 1834, Christian Heidsieck established the business that would become Piper-Heidsieck, helping to create one of the most recognisable names in Champagne.
The House style is rich and expressive in fruit, yet distinguished by freshness and elegance. Its reputation for excellence owes much to a succession of gifted cellar masters, among them Régis Camus, whose achievements brought the House repeated international recognition, including the International Wine Challenge’s Sparkling Winemaker of the Year distinction.
