The Ritz Hotel 50 Piccadilly, London W1 THE Ritz Restaurant is one of our Members’ favourite places to lunch or dine. The cuisine of Executive Chef John Williams is sublime—and has won a Michelin Star—and the ambience is el- egant, sophisticated and unmatched. You will be dining in one of the most beautiful restaurants in the world—and for you and your guests there will be complimentary glasses of Champagne. Pure Louis XVI in style, with lofty frescoed ceiling, pillars and gilded statues, the restaurant is lit by glittering chandeliers and daylight from the tall west windows overlooking the terrace, Italian garden, and Green Park. Lunch or dinner at the Ritz is always memorable: delicious food in surroundings of crisp linen and fine bone china; a superb house wine as well as a distinctive wine list; where perfect food is brought to your table beneath silver domes by white-gloved wait- ers. Enjoy the delicious three-course lunch from the table d’hôte menu, currently £57 including VAT, served with your complimentary glass of Champagne as a CountryClubuk Member (usual- ly an additional £20). Or you can choose to lunch à la carte, and still receive your Champagne. The dishes are elegant and delicious: on the daily set menu you might start by choosing from quail salad with truffle, roast onion and mushroom; or scallop with cauliflower and sea vegetables with Champagne sauce; or roast duck liver with spiced rhubarb and celeriac. Among the main courses there may be such delights as sea bass with broccoli, watercress and oyster mushrooms, or lamb navarin with swede, mushroom and black garlic. For puddings, delights include the Ritz’s exotic fruit soufflé with banana and rum ice-cream or chocolate delice with coconut and mint. At dinner, again our Members will be offered a complimentary glass of Champagne for every guest, either when dining from the three-course pre-theatre menu, currently costing £69 including VAT, or à la carte. Or you and your guests can choose the Six Seasonal Courses, a masterclass in Chef Williams's repertoire, beautifully created and served, and at £105 (including your glass of Champagne as a Member of the Club), it is a fine way to spend a gourmet evening. You and your guests can lunch and dine, midweek or at weekends (but remember that on Friday and Saturday nights a 'Live At The Ritz' dinner dance which follows on from the usual pre-theatre bookings). Whenever you lunch or dine you will be treated to a seasonal menu which changes daily—and cuisine, service and ambience which are nothing less than perfect. The Ritz has a dress code: gentlemen are required to wear a jacket and tie; jeans are not permitted. ¶ See also London Hotels feature and countryclubuk.com. To book, call us on 020 7399 2960.
